Lacuna Sports, the UK’s leading female cricket teamwear provider, is proud to announce a new partnership with Her Game Too Cricket, further demonstrating its unwavering commitment to equality, inclusivity, and representation in sport.

This powerful collaboration brings together two organisations united by a shared mission: to break down the barriers women and girls face in cricket and empower them to play, compete, and thrive on their own terms.

Founded in 2019 by Leigh Burns, Lacuna Sports was born out of personal frustration at the lack of appropriate cricket kit for girls and women. Since then, the brand has pioneered a new standard in women’s cricketwear, designing bespoke, high-performance apparel that fits all body types, personal preferences, and cultural needs. Lacuna’s ethos is simple yet powerful – no one should have to compromise on comfort or confidence to play the sport they love.

Commenting on the partnership Leigh Burns, Founder of Lacuna Sports, says “This partnership is a natural progression for Lacuna Sports. Both organisations were built to challenge the status quo, and we are equally passionate about championing inclusive sport. We’re excited to drive forward a future, together with Her Game Too Cricket, in which every girl and woman feels like cricket is a game for them.”

The partnership comes at a crucial time as Her Game Too Cricket continues to raise awareness of sexism, misogyny, and gender inequality in the game. Their mission aligns perfectly with Lacuna’s belief that better clothing can remove a major barrier to female participation.

Burns continues, “Research shows 70% of girls aged 15–19 drop out of sport, and clothing is one of the top reasons – often linked to confidence and body image concerns, and we hear the same from our teamwear clients across all ages. By providing properly fitting, thoughtful kit – even if it’s just a top, or allowing flexibility in what players wear – we can help substantially boost participation and enjoyment.”

Commenting on the partnership, Paige Caunce, Head of Her Game Too Cricket, says: “Having worked closely with the fantastic team at Lacuna Sports for some time, we are delighted to be finally announcing a formal partnership with the company. A pioneer of W&Gs cricketwear, Lacuna Sports embodies our core values of inclusivity and diversity within the game. Cricket kit plays a huge part in how we feel about the sport – so many of us walk on to the field with a sense of pride in wearing our team’s whites, or showing our support in the stands by donning the club’s colours. However, for a very long time, women and girls have been unable to feel truly comfortable and supported in their kit – Lacuna Sports is here to change that. By challenging the norms of what cricketwear is, more women and girls are able to flourish both on and off the field without worrying about their ill-fitting tops or trousers that are too long. Her Game Too Cricket are excited for the future of this partnership and championing the message that cricket is a game for all.”

As partners, Lacuna and Her Game Too Cricket will collaborate across campaigns, content, and grassroots initiatives to amplify the message of inclusivity in cricket. Both organisations are committed to being a catalyst for change – creating spaces where women and girls feel seen, supported, and empowered in sport.
