Lacuna Sports announces multi-year partnership with International Invitational Tournament Fairbreak Global

Lacuna Sports and Fairbreak Global, hosts of the International Women’s Invitational T20 tournaments, have entered an exciting collaboration which further magnifies Lacuna Sports’ fearless quest to enhance and enable female cricket through bespoke women’s performance sportswear. Fairbreak Global’s world-first international cricket tournaments showcase the skills of the best female players from across the globe. With players from more than 30 countries, they draw in over 60 million fans, up from a 1 million fanbase at their inception in 2009.

The multi-year kit partnership deal looks set to firmly establish Lacuna sports on the international stage following its exceptional growth in the UK. Lacuna Sports will exclusively design and manufacture high performing playing and training kits, which will be worn by all players across the tournament which returns in 2025. They will also produce clothing for coaches, match officials and all tournament staff.

The two organisations are perfectly aligned in terms of their mission; to ensure that cricket is accessible to all women, and share an unrelenting commitment to raise the profile of female cricket by empowering women to be comfortable and confident to focus on their game.

Fairbreak CEO Cheryll Rogers said, “It’s a pleasure to work with Lacuna; from our first conversation it was clear that their passion and drive to create the very best experience for female players was aligned to our vision. Their drive to accommodate the many physical differences in the female physique, as well as the needs of those players with religious observations, will make it easy for all of our players to find the perfect form and fit for the way they want to look and feel on the pitch.”

She continues, “The special ordering service, developed by Lacuna for Fairbreak, will make it stress free. Players and staff from different countries and using different languagescan access a portal and choose exactly which items and fit they prefer from the extensive range. The quality, fabrics and manufacturing meet our objectives to uphold the pillars of sustainability and their beautiful designs will really put the finishing touches to our gold standard competition.”

The announcement adds to Lacuna Sports’ investment to grow the game at all levels, across all nationalities, preferences and body types. In working together, Lacuna Sports and Fairbreak magnify their shared purpose to bring equality, inclusivity, focus and passion to women’s cricket and to ultimately; raise the game.

Lacuna Sports founder Leigh Burns has been appointed as one of four newly announced Trustees for the UK based cricket charity Bat For A Chance.
