Lacuna Sports is proud to announce a new partnership with Cricket Yorkshire, a trusted
and respected voice for the game across one of England’s most passionate cricketing
counties. Together, we’ll highlight the opportunities available to women’s and girls’ teams
across Yorkshire when it comes to their kit – from grassroots and recreational clubs to
those competing in the Women’s Premier Leagues – we will help them explore teamwear
that truly fits.
This collaboration will raise awareness of the importance of kit designed specifically for
women and girls. Too often, players are held back by ill-fitting kit that affects comfort and
confidence. Lacuna’s mission is to change that with bespoke teamwear for all ages, shapes,
and sizes, helping more women and girls feel supported, confident, and focused on their
performance.
Lacuna is looking forward to working with John Fuller, Founder of Cricket Yorkshire,
who’s focus on recreational cricket perfectly aligns with Lacuna’s commitment to grassroots
teams – while also connecting with the county’s top-level women’s sides. Together, we’ll help
ensure clubs are equipped with the knowledge to make informed choices about their future
kit designed specifically for women and girls needs.
“We’re genuinely excited about the great things we can do together,” said Leigh Burns,
Founder of Lacuna Sports. “Cricket Yorkshire is such a respected and deeply rooted
organisation within this dominant cricket county, and we see a natural alignment between
our missions. Together, we can help shine a light on what’s possible for women and girls in
cricket – from grassroots right up to the Women’s Premier Leagues.”
Keep an eye on Lacuna Sports and Cricket Yorkshire for stories on women’s kit
requirements and considerations. The Lacuna team looks forward to visiting Yorkshire soon
and continuing our mission to make cricket a better fit for women everywhere, so more
women and girls join the sport, less drop out and no one is compromised by ill fitting kit.
