The next chapter in our partnership with the Charlotte Edwards Foundation

Lacuna Sports is proud to be named official kit supplier to the Charlotte Edwards Foundation for their UK development tour. Here’s what this growing partnership means, and why the right kit matters for young players stepping onto the international stage.

Where It All Began: The New Zealand Tour

Earlier this year, we were proud to kit out the Charlotte Edwards Foundation (CEF) team for their first-ever tour to New Zealand. A brilliant group of girls from around the world, brought together by cricket stepped onto the international stage for the first time in Lacuna teamwear.

That tour marked the beginning of a relationship built on shared values of access, opportunity and a belief that every young cricketer deserves the chance to play, develop and feel part of the game they love. Today, we’re delighted to share the next chapter in that journey.

Lacuna Named Official Kit Supplier For The Charlotte Edwards Foundation’s UK Tour

Lacuna Sports is proud to be the official kit supplier to the Charlotte Edwards Foundation for their upcoming UK development tour, which begins on 8 July. We will once again be providing full teamwear for a unique group of emerging players brought together through the Foundation’s mission to create opportunities for girls and young women in cricket.

Julie Abbott, CEO of the Charlotte Edwards Foundation, says, ‘We are delighted to welcome Lacuna Sports as the official kit supplier to the Charlotte Edwards Foundation. What makes this partnership particularly meaningful is the alignment in our values. We share a commitment to creating opportunities, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that girls and young women from around the world can access experiences that support their development both on and off the field. We look forward to building a partnership that grows alongside the Foundation.’

A Landmark Fixture At New Hall School

We will also be supplying kit for the CEF team’s invitational match on 17 July – a landmark fixture that forms part of the Foundation’s official UK launch celebrations. Captained by Charlotte Edwards, the match will feature current and former International players and promises to be a fantastic showcase for the Foundation and its vision for the future of the women’s game.  The match being played against the MCC begins at 2pm at New Hall School, Chelmsford, and is open to the public.

More Than Kit: Why This Partnership Matters To Us

At Lacuna, we see kit as more than clothing. It’s identity, confidence and belonging. For young players stepping into representative cricket environments, what they wear matters. It helps them feel match-ready, brings people together as a team and creates a sense of pride when they walk onto the pitch.

That is why working with the Charlotte Edwards Foundation feels like such a natural fit. The Foundation is opening doors for talented young cricketers, creating experiences that extend far beyond the boundary rope. Through tours, coaching, competition and connection, it is helping young players develop not only as cricketers, but as people.

As our relationship with the Foundation continues to grow, we’ll be working together across tours, events and programmes to ensure players have access to high-quality teamwear wherever their cricket journey takes them.

Leigh Burns, Founder of Lacuna Sports, says, ‘From the moment we worked with the Foundation on the New Zealand tour, it was clear that we shared many of the same values.

Cricket has the power to build confidence, create friendships and open doors that can stay with young people for life. Charlotte and her team are doing exactly that through the Foundation, and we’re delighted to support them as they continue to grow.

Seeing these players pull on their kit, represent the Foundation and create memories together is what it’s all about for us. We’re excited to be part of their journey and can’t wait to see what this summer brings.’

What’s Next This Summer

For us, this is exactly the kind of partnership we love being involved in – one that helps more young people access opportunities through sport and feel that they truly belong in the game.
